Saturday

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far, and remember Monique is hosting the color challenge on PCP this weekend.!
My card today is Charlie Daisy. This one I couldn't wait to do, I just love this image! He looks so happy and free! Well, actually I never can wait to do a Charlie. But this was not my original design. I had done the whole card with a dp that I loved and a layout I really liked but at the last minute had to make a new card for him. When I pulled the stamp out it was bigger than I had planned for and was going to cover up all of the layers and dp. Lesson learned- look at the stamp before you plan the card, duh! So this is an image that needs to take center stage and stand out on it's own. Unless of course your card is ginormous! So my layout is fairly simple and my background paper is stamped with one of the cute little flowers that comes in the set. I even layered the pink dp with a punched out flower to put color behind the clear button. The word friends and the pink flower stamped in the hardware also come in this set among others. The one thing I didn't change in the design was the green, kiwi kiss, and the ribbon. I just loved this ribbon I got from Wallyworld the other day and really wanted to use it. It might be a little overpowering here, if I were to do it over I might have left it off. But I love the ribbon and once it's stuck with glue dots, it's stuck! I finally got the Martha Stewart edge punch I've been wanting too and it's just the girly country charm I felt like this card needed. I love the tiny butterflies that come with this set too, I also used them as accents on this card highlighted with stickles. So end the end, this is my Charlie Daisy card and the other card I'll save for a stamp that better suits the layout! Have a great weekend you guys!
