Hey bloggers! First of all I want to thank all of you who have joined me on my blog this week and left me such wonderful encouraging comments. That is part of what I love about the whole blogger world and stamping community! I've been a little busy but I can't wait to make rounds to some of my new friends on here and check out your creations too! Anybody who is just checking my blog please continue to scroll down after this post to see pics of the BLOG CANDY that I have up for grabs and the other card that I made with this full stamp! Ok about this card, I just knew I wanted to do a card using only the cake. I was thinking b-day cake of course but then on Angela Thomas' blog (fellow dt) She had written that it reminded her of a wedding cake. Light bulb! ;) So I thought it would be a really fun spin on this stamp, I love to be able to get more mileage out of my stamps. I just inked the stamp w/ versamark and used silver ep and cut it out, if you don't like cutting you could just stamp once using a masking technique. I also cut off the candle and added these tiny paper flowers accented with swarovski crystals. I used tinier crystals on the stamped background flowers. This stamp and the embossed borders you see on the white background piece are part of one of the blog candy packages! I also used a set from CDS called Elegant Flourishes to add more elegance and sophistication to this dot pattern DP from SU! And the love sentiment that it came with to make a tag and finish up my wedding card. Don't you just love the way the flourish perfectly fit's this nestabilities die? I was thrilled about that, it's the little things right? The flourish set is definately an awesome must have set, especially if you like creating your own dp.Leave me a comment and you'll be registered for the drawing for my 2 packages of blog candy too! I'll be drawing on May 7 and announcing the winners here! P.s. If you would like to play along click on the MY PCP PAGE in the sidebar and find the link there to the cds weekend color challenge! Thanks fore visiting!
