I've tried to challenge myself lately with these also and not pick colors that are to predictable for me. I have always liked the pink and gray combination so I thought I would give it a try this week, whatcha think? Funny, I love gray, at least half of my clothing is gray, I love wearing gray eye makeup but as for decorating or doing cards with it... I NEVER have. I think it can look cold and stark, hard to use. So here is the challenge! Gray, pretty in pink, and white and/or black as a neutral.

The polka dot embossed paper I had to redo because the pattern is so spread out and not as raised with the sissix texture plates, when I went over it with the brayer, gray ink it got all over the place so after doing a new one (luckily I had that much pink paper left!) I applied the ink with a q-tip. the next layer is a nestie label die ran through a CB Argyle folder and brayered with basic gray ink. Since I didn't use any dp and I was trying to make it interesting I used all of these layers and was afraid it was going to look like to much so I tried to keep the embellies to a minimum. The jewel brads balance out the design and the white taffeta ribbon is actually hiding a sewing mistake where my needle jumped (shh!), don't tell! I'm finally starting to get the hang of sewing circles and shapes like the label die though, but no body's perfect. I used the new June release Patchpal Piggy and water colored him with markers and popped him up in a few spots.
