Lean On Me - mmsc6

Mornin' blogger babes! This is the new charlie from CDS, isn't he adorable? I water colored him using both markers and acrylics and paper toiled him. I also wanted him to look like he was standing in a barn so I cut and painted some barn post out of HEAVY WATER COLOR PAPER to frame out the main layer. Metal accents available at CDS, ribbon from HOBBY LOBBY, DP from DCWV. Don't forget, if you love Charlie you can see m,ore of this stamp used on other CDS DT BLOGS, if you love sketch challenges and would like to play along with this one click on the MMSC badge to find out more and see more cards done with this sketch! Enjoy your Tuesday!!!

June Rose for MMSC5

Let me just say I love this sketch and I thought it was the perfect layout for the June Rose designed by Vicki Conquest newly released stamp from CDS. I knew I wanted a very classic red black and white color scheme only I used ivory for a more time worn look. I also added the brushed gold metallic to give it a more framed in look. I can't remember who the black with dots dp is by but the ivory dp is hand stamped only with stamps in the June Rose set. It really made a beautiful background paper. I started out with ivory natural paper distressed the edges with scissors, creamy caramel and black ink. I then stamped the verses repeatedly in black and the roses on top of that in riding hood red. This set is great to have just because it makes such a pretty background. The roses were embossed with black ep and water colored with maybe every shade of red and pink I have and even a little yellow! It was all layered up and machine sewn with the gold thread. The triangular halves is always one of my favorite sketches but the halved circles that flip the colors was a really fun twist. I wish my circles had shown up more. I think you guys could have a lot of fun with this sketch, to play along the link can be found in my right side bar, you can also check and see some of the other DT creations with this sketch! Have a great Tuesday!

Weekend Color Challenge 6/05-6/07/09 Featured Card

Good Afternoon, we had a new player this weekend who's fabulous embossing really caught my eye so hers is the card I'm featuring this week. Pamela Malatek, thank you for joining us and sharing your work! As usual we get sooo many fabulous entries it is always the hardest part about hosting for me to make this decision.
Her card has a very classic elegant look and all of the accents and embellishments are perfectly balanced, it is a beauty! Thanks to all who played, it was a lot of fun seeing the work done with this color scheme! Keep up the good work!!!
