CDS Weekend Color Challenge

Hello all! It's time for a color challenge I would love for you to play along with me this weekend. I'm really excited to be hosting this weekend(also a little nervous!) With my baby being so new I almost chickened out, hopefully I can keep up with all of the entris! LOL! Kidding, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this weekend! The link to play along is in my sidebar where it says I host for the CDS color challenge. It is going to be great for me to feel like I'm doing something, I was seriously begining to crave some card making! I actually planned ahead and got a lot of my card bases done ahead of time for samples comin up. I chose ths one to use this weekend for the color challenge because I thought it would work really well with the seahorse stamp from my new Under The Sea set. I had been wanting to color it in and thought with the baby and family to juggle over the weekend it would be really fast ,fun and easy to color in. It was but I have to say that cutting around all of those tiny circles while holding and nursing a baby can be quite tricky! LOL! It's all good though, I was just really happy to make a card again. On this one I used paper from K&CO. Urban, layered with Sahara Sand. The colors in the dp look like the Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss from last seasons SU! in colors. Sadly they are gone but you haven't seen the last of them from me, oh no, I stocked up, love love those colors!!!! I tore a piece of the baja breeze and embossed it with the cb swirl folder, always perfect for getting a watery wavey impression. I spoged some color over it in several shades to age it to match the aged looking dp and left the thread a little ragged to keep with the distressed natural theme too. I used the colors BAJA BREEZE, KIWI KISS AND SAHARA SAND, I left the option to substitute with BASHFUL BLUE AND OLD OLIVE in case everybody else didn't buy stock in these colors! ;) You can use in colors that look simlar to these in any brand. I accented with some layered ribbon and dew drops you can find in the CDS store.
Happy crafting guys, check back in Monday morning to see wich card/project from the color challenge that I pick to feature on my blog!
