A Bird for Nana

I made this card last week for my Nana she just turned 76 years old. That's her in the picture with my Popi, I know this birthday was special for her because she was able to share it with all of us and my Popi. Time is short for them, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about a year ago and everyday day or occasion that we get to spend with him "here" in mind as well as body is cherished. She loved her card! I knew this set by Kim Teasdale was perfect for her because she loves birds and the sentiment it came with spoke from my heart. The one I used says "Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark."it is stamped in the bottom right corner. She just always has faith in me and faith that they will find a cure for Popi and is always optimistic that when things are bad they will get better. The base of the card was one I had made before I had my baby and when I saw these birds I knew they would be perfect on this card and perfect for my Nana.
I've been having a hard time this past week and I'm sorry to have been absent from here, I really miss visiting all of you, my blogger friends blogs and hope things with the baby will settle down enough for me to get around soon to do some visiting. Thanks for stopping by!
