Friday

The Wild Wild West

Hello! Happy Friday! What a week, busy with work, sick babies and well, life! My 5 year old has had scratch throat she thinks, this is what she called it :) I don't know what it was but she is beginning to feel better, thankfully no fever anyway. So here is a card I squeezed in during this hectic week. It's called horse poetry. Some of you may have seen this stamp already so I tried going in another direction with it. Keeping my Dad in mind I used old western movies as my inspiration. This card has to go to him because it is the obvious choice for a horse man. Also it is not on a card because I think I'm going to have it framed for him. All of the coloring was done in brown tones like the old Westerns. I did it by watercoloring with my markers. I did it in a bay color because it is one of his favorites and it's a little less reddish in person. Lighting, Aghh, what can you do?! I used some cool hardware from Clear Dollar stamps that I toned down from the shiny silver using brown acrylic paint and tied it on with some hemp twine and double stitched grosgrain ribbon. That's all folks. My blog candy starts in just 4 day's, I'm celebrating a special occasion! ;) So come join me!
