Clearly Inspired Patchpal Turtle
Good afternoon ladies, hows it goin? Pretty good here! So I didn't make it back as quickly as I had hoped but at least it wasn't a whole month right? This is another card for this weeks Clearly Inspired Challenge over at the Clearly I Stamp blog. The theme is THINK GREEN. I think mine is not quite green enough but I was a little unclear. So you are to use shades of green making sure that green stands out on your card. Link it up there for a chance to win the drawing, you don't have to use CDS but it would be really cool if you did, if you have some, :) This one I made with my new Patchpal Turtle. It is not a card, it's in one of those unfinished pressed wood frames that you get at Hobby Lobby, really cheap. My girls are always wanting my cards so this time I decided it would be cute in their room so that's why the frame. I might do more like this, it really was fun. Oh, I almost forgot, check out that paper, the solid green textured piece under thew ribbon, isn't it the coolest ever?!!!!? I just got it at Hobby Lobby this past week, several varieties actually, it looks and feels just like leather! SOOOO COOL! If you saw it in person I bet you would be drooling just like I was. That's also why it's not sewn, I didn't try but it feels like it would get stuck and not feed through the machine. If you came here from Lori's blog you might notice I added the ribbon and flower, I just felt like it needed something but when I finished at 3 in the morning I was to tired to come up with the right thing, so today after an hour of trying 20 possible ribbon, flower, button combinations I settled on this one. Do you ever do that and step back and think, ahhh, that's it, perfect, it's so obvious why didn't I think of that an hour ago, was there any other choice really? I did with this one, I was really happy with it, I'm not always but this time I'm thinking yeah, it worked out, yay! I'll see you guys later, have a great, super fantabulous weekend!
