Help For Katie

Hello, I'm posting today to share a way you can help one of our fellow bloggers and
crafting friends,Katie Renz. For those of you who haven't heard she was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer just before Christmas. Her only option is chemotherapy Katie is such a beautiful person inside and out, this is the kind of thing that makes you wonder why the worst things seem to happen to the best people. She is has 3 beautiful children and a handsome husband, a perfect life turned upside down. You can find out more about her story on her blog HERE.Most of us have known someone with cancer and know how difficult it can be emotionally and financially. To help out with the financial burden Jak Heath has organized a fundraiser where she, myself and many other illustrators including;Just Inklined, True D Doodle, Sassy Cheryl, Paper in the Works, by Lori Designs, Mo Manning, Clear Dollar Stamps, Digital Delights, Tiddly Inks, Waltzing Mouse Stamps, Doodle Pantry ( whew, I hope I didn't leave any out!)have illustrated digital stamp sets (20 in all!) that you will receive for your donation and for your purchase your name will be put in a drawing for other prizes including 148 Letraset markers, and a gorgeous set of 5 Silver Luster paper packs plus a 25.00 gift certificate from the paper temptress! You will find the link HERE. An awesome deal for a really good cause!

I have made a card with the set I illustrated called Whale Wishes and my
wonderfully talented friend True called Sending You Love. I colored the
Whale Wishes card in Prismas and popped up some layers,I love the way the hot air
balloon card turned out even though I've never had so much trouble with glossy effects. I was in a hurry and applied it before my stickles were dry good on the heart so it sunk in the center and the more I tried to fix it the worse it seemed to get but I made the buttons from the green paper (you can get this at Paper Temptress) and the glossy effects and I love how they turned out and this ribbon is one of my very favorites!I'll be back later this week with more samples using these sets, see you then!

Shawne, both of these cards are truly stunning! I love how the little whale pops out especially with the neutral background dp! Thanks for getting the set to us so we can help spread the word about Katie!

Hello!

I love your images! I was so impressed with the works of art that were donated by all of you to help Katie! I posted of her story on my blog and am working on some cards using these beautiful images. My first one was with your little whale image - I love him! Thank you!

Hugs,

Barbara Diane

GORGEOUS!! Love your coloring and your design layout too--everything you make is just fabulous Shawne. I don't know WHY I didn't think of this earlier, but am adding you to my DT list under M5D so I can see when you post something new. I stay so busy it's hard to keep up with everyone. You are so talented and I love your digis and your inspiration in all your cards/projects.

P.S.
Love your music too! The 80's were good for me and brings back my childhood memories =)
