Whew, I'm Back Finally With My Post!
Sorry about that! I've had all kinds of craziness going on today! But what a great day it is! Kinda like Christmas morning for a kid ya know? It's almost hard to believe after so many many months of working on this that it's done (well sort of!), it will never really be done because I plan on coming up with new stuff and new idea's regularly, and I'm hoping to be able to share lots of tutorials with you because I know some of you have a lot of questions about how to work with a digi and really they ate so much more fun when you really know how to make the most of them! So watch for tutorials coming to my Tips and Tricks page in the store very soon!
Before I forget tonight at midnight on my blog I will be giving away 3 free stamps or sets to one random winner, this a "door" prize of sorts to celebrate my opening day(**yay!!!!** cheering and applause!) So all you have to do is comment here! Easy peasy! Now for the BIG PRIZE we are starting a bi-monthly challenge and for the first challenge to kick off the store you are to use one of the pages in my store as inspiration for your card, sort of like casing a store page but not exactly. You can either use the actual page as a card sketch, or use the color combo, or use the theme from the page. So pick your favorite page and get busy! Kidding, I sound like a game show announcer, LOL! But really it should be fun and the winner will get to choose 3 free stamps or sets from the store *PLUS* every new release foe the next 3 months!!! Sound cool? Head over to our CHALLENGE BLOG to play, you have 2 weeks.
Where to begin? I want to tell you all about the store and what's in it without boring you to death sooo, hmmm... All of the images are in color and line art and you always get both, I know it's cheating but hey, sometimes your in a hurry right? Now I have to be honest and tell you that the surfer I did to announce the store several weeks ago is the version I painted in my computer program. :) It's pretty fun really! Most of you know I've had trouble with a very fussy baby who now thinks she has to be held all the time, kinda makes putting together a card more difficult! I miss making cards so I'm trying to come up with solutions that will make it much faster for me and for you because I know these days everyone is busy busy! I have sets that come with coordinating digi dp, how fun is that! I have to pat myself on the back with that one because I'm loving it! No more digging through mountains of paper because before I can usually pick out my dp my daughter is crying for me. I even grouped together on one sheet the dp, border, sentiments and image to put together one card really super fast by just clicking print one time! I call it Card On A Sheet and it is included in addition to all of the separate image files that are in a set. And I have something I call Quick Cards that are basically a printable card. I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten to make a card I needed and didn't have time to stop at the store. You can customize them a little or just print and go. Part of my inspiration for these is so my Dad can print off his own cards! :) I was working on more of them when a lot of issues came up with the store that I had to fix so at the moment there are only two of those but more on the way!
I think I've rambled enough for one day so I'm going to post a card I made with a set called Birdsong Serenade (Birdsong for short!) I used the black line art version and colored with prisma pencils on my card because (gasp) my printer tore up in the middle of everything! can you imagine! The irony, but I just got a new one last night so hopefully you'll see me back with a lot more cards really soon! I have one to post tomorrow and if I forgot to mention anything I'll let you know then! Besides I still have a little more work to do in the store, blanks to fill! c-ya later!
